Proceeds from this event will directly fund the Surf Brigade Surf Therapy Program\, which helps veterans build resilience and find healing through the transformative power of surfing. By participating in the tournament\, whether as a player or sponsor\, you’re not just having fun on the golf course—you’re making a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans who are navigating the challenges of PTSD\, anxiety\, and other mental health struggles. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy a day of golf while giving back to those who have given so much for our country. Together\, we can help these heroes discover strength\, connection\, and healing\, one wave at a time. \n\n\n\nEvent Format & Rules\n\n\n\n\nThe primary focus of this golf fundraiser is to have fun while supporting a great cause\, rather than competitive play. To ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience\, the event will be played in a scramble format\, where teams of playerswill work together to select the best shot on each hole.\n\n\n\nParticipants who purchased mulligans with their tickets will have two mulligans available\, giving them the opportunity to re-play a shot for better results.\n\n\n\nAdditionally\, “Bogey is your friend” Once all players in a group have reached par without completing the hole\, the team will take a bogey and move on to the next hole. This rule is designed to keep the event moving efficiently\, ensuring that everyone enjoys the day while staying on schedule. \n\n\n\nAll games should be complete in 4 hours (max). This means you should average 13 minute per hole. With respect to lunch and the awards ceremony\, please monitor your time closely.\n\n\n\n\nINCLEMENT WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS: \n\n\n\nDue to limited staffing\, there will be no rain date in the event of inclement weather. If the event is canceled due toextreme weather conditions\, registered players and teams will have the option to receive a full refund of theirregistration fees. \n\n\n\nSponsors and donors are kindly requested to honor their commitments and will still be recognized by the Surf BrigadeFoundation\, as the cancellation is a result of weather conditions beyond the organization’s control. FLPGTA assists veterans\, first responders\, and children with PTSD and/or disabilities through a weekly golf therapy clinic.  \n\n\n\nFLPGTA also holds a clinic to train Special Olympians to participate in their Special Olympics Golf Tournament. FLPGTA holds an Annual Charity fundraising Golf Tournament every first Friday in March. DESCRIPTION:Inagural Event:  The “Monday at Sandestin” hosted by Baytowne at Sandestin Resort will complete a great weekend of golf at the resort. This Monday event will give you the opportunity to play 4 rounds of golf\, a round at each of Sandestin’s wonderful 4 courses.  \n\n\n\nPlaces to Stay and Play\n\n\n\nThis event like its bookend on the front of the Sandestin Major should fill up fast so register early and assure yourself a spot.  \n\n\n\nThis will be an 18 hole Stroke Play event with a side Team Contest to heat up the action. Players will compete against others in their Tournament Index range (Flight). We will have both Open and Senior Flights as long as there are 6 or more players in each division. Otherwise they will be combined. Distances played will be based on the makeup of the flight and the yardage guide in your Player Handbook. Competitors in the Championship\, Player\, Hogan and Palmer Flights that are 65 or older will be allowed to play from a shorter set or combined set of tees that have a slope/rating.  \n\n\n\nYour Tournament Fee covers the golf\, shared golf cart\, practice facilities and range balls\, trophies\, prize pool\, taxes\, credit card fees\, professional tournament administration\, tournament staff and scoring. It will also cover winner photos\, publication of photos and results on social media. \n\n\n\nOptional side games and Team Contest will be offered for an additional fee. Players will be notified of side game availability and cost the week of the event.
