About Our Boat - The Reel GRooV

We stand out from our competitors because we are federally permitted, and Coast Guard-approved to take up to 18 passengers out on the Gulf of America. This is a plus because it allows us to cater to large groups while most boats in Panama City can only hold up to 6 people. We can also fish in federal waters where most can only fish in state waters or inshore.

The Reel GRooV is a large 43’ BHM offshore sport fishing boat. It was built in 1985, so we can’t even imagine how many fish this boat has brought to shore over the years. She is a comfortable boat with air-conditioning, a bathroom, a mini kitchen, a table with bench seating, bunk beds, live bait well, and a covered back deck to help block the harsh sun. It is a boat we have earned many five star reviews with and is great for taking out into the Gulf for a full day of fishing.

Planning

When planning a fishing charter there are several questions to consider.

• Do you want to go inshore or offshore fishing?
• Do you want to bottom fish with a rod and reel or go high-speed trolling?
• How many people are in your party?
• How experienced is everyone, have you fished before or are you a novice?
• How long do you want to fish for a 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12-hour trip?
• What species of fish do you want to target Red Snapper, Trigger Fish, Grouper, etc., and are they in season?
