White sand beaches and rolling dunes covered with sea oats make this park a favorite destination for swimmers and sunbathers. Open 8am daily til dusk. Surf fishing is a popular activity for anglers of all skill levels. Boardwalks from the parking lot allow visitors to access the beach without causing damage to the fragile dunes and beach vegetation.
Covered picnic tables overlooking the beach provide a great place for family outings.
The park is home to several threatened and endangered species such as the Perdido Key beach mouse, nesting shorebirds and nesting sea turtles.
Perdido Key State Park is a 290-acre Florida State Park located on a barrier island known as Perdido Key. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including swimming, fishing, picnicking, and wildlife viewing in this serene natural setting.
