Legacy Golf Club – Par 3 Course
- (850) 234-1800
- March 23, 2025
The golf course at Panama Country Club was built in 1927 by W.C. Sherman & famed designer Donald J. Ross, ASGCA. At just under 6,700 yards, the course offers subtle contours and narrow to medium-width fairways and provides a great test of golf for all handicaps. The greens are all-new, strategically sized and are very indicative of the era in which they were initially built. Multiple tees are available, ranging from Championship up to the forward tees at 5,400 yards.

As you’ll find out quickly, the course is a sanctuary for Northwest Florida wildlife. While you play a round of golf, you may see eagles, egrets, herons, turtles, and even the origin of our mascot, the famed “fox squirrel,” who you’ll see in our logo. There are no homes on the interior of the course, which leaves a protected habitat for most coastal wildlife.
The country club hosts the Sherman Invitational Golf Tournament each year on this course, which attracts some of the best amateur players in the region. The tournament was first held the year the course opened in 1927 and is still going strong today as the oldest continuously held amateur tournament in the Southeast.
The course offers daily beverage service, a full-service driving range, a short game area, and two practice greens. It is located in Lynn Haven, Florida, just north of Panama City.
